New Seaham War Memorial
Unveiled at Seaham Park by Lord Londonderry on 1st July 1923. It stands 30ft high and features a lifesize ( 5'9") RN Sailor, a soldier of the DLI and the airforce is commemorated by a carved badge of the Royal Air Force. The monument is surmounted by a figure of Liberty holding a torch.
