The Death Penny and WW1 campaign medals

The "Death Penny" on the left was awarded to the family of every serviceman who died in the service of their country in World War 1.

The three campaign medals were affectionately known as Pip, Squeak and Wilfred. They were the 1914-15 Star, the British War medal and the Victory medal.

These medals were awarded to my Uncle George William Cooper killed in action 29th September 1917 (Photo credit: Fred Cooper)
