Dawdon Suspension Bridge

This bridge was locally known as "Dawdon Swing Bridge" because with a little bit of effort as you were walking over it you could make it swing from side to side. Dawdon Viaduct carrying the main East Coast railway is in the background. The bridge was replaced by a road over the Dene and was demolished in October 1968.
