Nora Grace Dillon, Founder of Seaham Guides / Commandant of VAD Hospital Vane House

The first Seaham Girl Guides was established by Nora Grace Dillon in 1911. In 1913 the Durham County Commissioner (The Marchioness of Londonderry) regularly inspected the Guides.

Nora Grace Dillon was also Commandant of the Dawdon detachment VAD Hospital, Vane House during World War 1.
