WELCOME TO FRED COOPER'S HISTORY WEBSITE

The original St Mary Magdalene Church which was built in Londonderry Road in 1869 became too small for the congregation by the end of the 19th century and this new Romanesque style church was built in Harbour Walk. The foundation stone was laid on  23rd August 1906.
